About Me

My photo
Logan, Utah, United States
David and I met in Reno Nevada where both of our families were living. We dated for seven months and were engaged for five months. We got married in the Reno NV temple on July 3 2010. A month later we moved to Provo UT where we stayed for two years. David and I currently moved to Logan where David is working on his Masters and me on my bachelors. We were sad to leave Provo but we are excited for this new chapter in our lives!

Let's Hike Up to the Y!!!

This is our second time hiking up to the Y trail in Provo. The first time we went, I almost passed out and died. I remember whining the whole time asking David, "Are we there yet?" I was so tired, David was a trooper. His pace was so much faster than mine, and he kept pushing me to keep going. THIS SECOND TIME, I did much much better! I never whined and I think I was even going faster than David!! :) We both did great! The view was amazing and everything was so green and pretty. David and I weren't as tired after we got to the Y letter, so we decided to keep on going and we went even higher!! It was great. (The Provo Temple is on one of the pictures...so small!!)

Provo Flood

Provo's weather lately has been really unpredictable. We have had sunny nice days, but also rainy ones! Our summer has been a wet one. We had a late summer start and because of that, the top of the mountains had snow still in the middle of June. With all the rain, it's causing the snow to melt...very fast. Here are some pictures of Rock Canyon Park, located 5 minutes of where we live. The park as you can see is flooded. It looks like a river!

Update

David and I had a fun 2010! This was the year that we got married, we moved to Utah, and we spent some of our first Holidays together as a married couple. :) The Holidays were also exciting and fun because we had the chance to visit our families in Reno. Whoo hoo! We are also excited for this new year of 2011 and are looking forward to what this new year will bring our way. We are also looking forward to spring or summer and we hope that it will get here fast! Provo is super cold! (16 degrees today).
A little update about our lives...David is busy with his full load of classes, we are excited for his last semester at BYU!! Graduation will be on April 21&22. He is also a busy man working hard at Ross and preventing theft. He is also busy working and a little nervous about applying to BYU Law School for the Fall. David still loves working with his 11-year-old scouts and has scouts activities with them once a week. David is playing intramural basketball at BYU and he loves it, he is also in the our ward's basketball team, he's pretty good! Mara loves working with her Mia Maids, attending mutual is fun and teaching lessons on Sundays. (I can't wait to go to Girls Camp ). I recently applied to BYU and I hope I get accepted. :) I am busy looking for a job and it's becoming very frustrating. >:( I am still babysitting for the Quinn family and it's going great.
So far the Lord keeps blessing us. David and I can't wait to see our families. We love y'all.

Young Women Campout

The Young Women and some of the leaders went on a campout on Friday afternoon. We went to the Uintas National Forest, and hiked about 3 miles to get to the spot where we were staying overnight. I almost froze during the night. :)

Here are some of the young women hiking up.

Crossing some dangerous waters- Just kidding, the water was really cold so nobody wanted to experience falling in or getting their feet wet.

Saturday morning.
Francis and me, trying to get warm by the fire.

Amy and Kristen.
Amy had a rough morning, we went on a hike in the morning and Amy fell in a mud pit and got stuck. In the picture, she is crying and smiling at the same time. Her pants were soaking wet, and she is holding the stick that I threw to her, which helped pull her out.

The Day Before Halloween

For Halloween, we had Felippe and Joana stay at our home. We had lots of fun hanging out with them. We don't see them very often because they live in Salt Lake, but we were lucky we were able to spend time with them on Saturday and Sunday morning. (They stayed the night)
Here are pictures of the pumpkin we carved on Saturday night.

More Fun Stuff!

David and I at the Brick Oven.

Here is a picture of me with my short hair.

David
and Cute Brayden.
Sara and Eric went on a hot date Saturday night, and we went over to babysit for them. I pulled out my camera, and Brayden knew exactly what to do, he sat with David and smiled. I loved it!
Brayden was so well behaved.

Olivia looked a little confused while David and I kept telling her to look at the camera. She was too busy studying the person that was holding her. She was wondering where Sara was in all this chaos.

Then she looked up and "click" a picture was taken.
